The waiter in the Café Ritter ignored Severus’ attempts to order but kept smoking his Parisienne cigarettes.

“Herr Ober!” Severus finally yelled. “I want a coffee!”

“And I want to be a rockstar. We don’t always get what we want!” the waiter sneered, then sauntered to the table and threw down the menu. “Which coffee?”

Severus peered at the menu and saw a list of at least twenty different coffees.

“Ein kleiner Schwarzer und eine Melange!”* said a familiar voice behind him.

Severus closed his eyes. “I won’t ever get rid of you, will I?”

Potter beamed at him. “Are you really trying?”

Kleiner Schwarzer (also called “Mokka”) means literally “little black one” and is the viennese version of an espresso. AMelange is half mokka, half hot milk and lots of milk foam. More information here
